Commish Intro
Welcome to the National Basketball League.
This is a sim league that runs using the game Draft Day Sports. Bill Weber founded the League in August 2007. We all strive to make and keep this league as friendly, interesting and challenging as possible.
Though the players may be different or new, the ideas and goals remain the same. Here in the NBL, where teams are so well balanced, we all strive for that ultimate prize of becoming the next NBL Champion.
We use team finances to determine salary caps, use a hard cap to keep control over team salaries, sim at a moderate pace, have a non admin trade committee to monitor fair trading, rookie drafts made by the commissioner with solid talent and 30 teams that play a 82 game schedule.
We strive to make this league as active as possible and are always exploring new ideas and concepts to keep the league interesing. You are welcome to apply to join our league and become part of its history.

New Players
If you are new to Sim Leagues or just DDS then lets us help you learn to play. You do not need to own the game to play and win in the NBL. A large amount of information that is used to run a franchise is found by going to NBL Standings and then clicking on a specific team and looking at the headings.
We will help you to understand how to:-
Set your teams roster,
Evaluate trade offers,
Use the draft information,'
Understand the player ratings.
Experienced Players
If you have played DDS before you will appreciate the need for a reliable and dedicated League simmer. The NBL has been running for over 2 years and never missed a sim day. The league file is available to all GMs, however as not everybody owns the game we make all Player potentials available so everybody has the relevant information.
